Requirements for Business Unit Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
  • Experience with Assembly, Engineering, Machining, Materials and Quality.
  • Leading Continuous Improvement training for lean manufacturing improvements within the process.
  • Understanding of materials, machine tools, manufacturing processes and tooling.

Responsibilities for Business Unit Manager:

  • Coach, mentor, and train employees to develop them for future opportunities within the company.
  • Use continuous improvement programs to drive lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, cost, safety, and quality.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and business plans.
  • Ensure finished goods produced and quality parts meet quality requirements.
  • Develop and maintain employee relations within the guidelines of the company policy and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
