Job Description for Electrical Control Engineer:

• Design electrical machine controls for custom and standard packaging machines.
• Provide programming, integration and communication for various PC’s, PLC’s, HMI’s, single and multi-axis servos, and VFD’s.
• Standard machinery controls design for solving customer’s packaging needs.
• Responsible for accuracy of calculations in reference to electrical and pneumatic required for designing automation equipment.
• Using AutoCAD 2D develop working electrical layout drawings, control cabinet drawings and pneumatic layout drawings.
• Assist with cost reduction and quality improvement of electrical designs for machinery.
• Provide programming for standard equipment upgrades and all custom packaging machinery.
• Assist in start-up and commissioning of machinery in plant and occasionally at customer’s facilities.

Job Requirements for Electrical Control Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or equivalent of education and technical background.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical/controls/programming
• Electrical design experience for machine controls
• CAD skills with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical is preferred.
• Create Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI control programs to interface with FANUC and KUKA robot control programs.
• PLC, HMI and Robotic programming experience.
