Quality Manager – Metal Products Manufacturing | Southern Michigan (On-Site)
A well-established and growing manufacturer of metal products used across a wide range of industries is seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality operations at its flagship southern Michigan facility. This plant supports a highly profitable, engineered-to-order product line and is preparing for a major expansion with a brand-new facility opening in Q4 2025.
This is a hands-on, floor-engaged role ideal for someone who thrives on building structure, improving process discipline, and leading through change.
What You’ll Do

Lead and support a small, experienced quality team through a period of growth and transition

Standardize and improve plant-wide quality processes, documentation, and root cause discipline

Partner closely with operations, supply chain, and engineering to maintain product quality and drive accountability

Identify and address recurring quality issues, while supporting key customer requirements and audits

Help guide the evolution of the quality function ahead of the new facility launch in late 2025
What You Bring

Experience in a manufacturing environment—preferably engineered or fabricated metal products

Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, CAPA, supplier quality, and customer-facing issue resolution

A hands-on, practical approach to leadership with strong floor presence

Comfort working in plants without formal quality certifications—able to bring structure without bureaucracy

A steady, team-oriented mindset suited to a facility undergoing improvement and investment
