Maintenance Manager

Position Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee plant-wide maintenance and production operations in the Quad Cities area of Iowa. This pivotal role involves managing a team of 10 salaried and up to 100 hourly employees across various departments. Reporting directly to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be instrumental in optimizing plant efficiency, driving cost control initiatives, and fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee maintenance operations across multiple departments including Machine Shop, Truck Repair Shop, and Roll Shop.
- Implement ABS and REX systems for effective cost control, quality management, and team development.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive 5-year plan for the maintenance department, aligning with long-term strategic goals of the organization.
- Establish annual plans, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet plant-wide goals.
- Collaborate closely with peers such as Area Managers, Lead Area Managers, and other Maintenance Department Managers to ensure seamless operational integration.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Machine Repair, Maintenance Management, and Manufacturing.
- Proven leadership experience as a department manager with direct supervision of both salaried and hourly employees.
- Demonstrated success in managing multimillion-dollar departmental budgets effectively.
- Track record of improving KPIs and achieving targeted results in a manufacturing environment.
