Join Our Client’s Team as a Senior Process Improvement Engineer in Saint Joseph, MI

Our client, a leading $450M durable goods manufacturing company located in beautiful southwest Michigan, is actively seeking a Senior Process Improvement Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a vital part of their growth strategy, they are expanding their engineering talent pool.

Key Details:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in industrial manufacturing
• Degree: Mechanical/Technical Diploma/Degree or equivalent
• Travel: 25%
• Certification: Green Belt or Black Belt (desired)

Responsibilities: As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing cutting-edge manufacturing processes across multiple manufacturing plants (stamping, assembly, injection molding, and automation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the organization in developing new manufacturing technology and implementing best practices across multiple manufacturing and distribution sites.
• Specifying, procuring, and implementing new manufacturing equipment
• Driving continuous improvement through Lean principles and innovative methodologies
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product Design, Automation, Tooling, Quality) for seamless process improvement integration
• Establishing global engineering standards for manufacturing labor and equipment

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience in industrial manufacturing
• Mechanical/Technical Diploma/Degree or equivalent
• Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Strong project management skills
• Knowledge of stamping, automation, and product assembly

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical)
• Green Belt or Black Belt certification desired
• Expertise in state-of-the-art manufacturing process technology, product development, and continuous improvement methods
