Join Our Client’s Team as a Senior Process Improvement Engineer in Saint Joseph, MI
Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for innovation and continuous process improvement? Our client, a leading $450M durable goods manufacturing company located in beautiful southwest Michigan, is actively seeking a Senior Process Improvement Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a vital part of their growth strategy, they are expanding their engineering talent pool.
Key Details:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in industrial manufacturing
- Degree: Mechanical/Technical Diploma/Degree or equivalent
- Travel: 25%
- Certification: Green Belt or Black Belt (desired)
Responsibilities: As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing cutting-edge manufacturing processes across multiple manufacturing plants (stamping, assembly, injection molding, and automation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the organization in developing new manufacturing technology and implementing best practices across multiple manufacturing and distribution sites.
- Specifying, procuring, and implementing new manufacturing equipment
- Driving continuous improvement through Lean principles and innovative methodologies
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product Design, Automation, Tooling, Quality) for seamless process improvement integration
- Establishing global engineering standards for manufacturing labor and equipment
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience in industrial manufacturing
- Mechanical/Technical Diploma/Degree or equivalent
- Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Strong project management skills
- Knowledge of stamping, automation, and product assembly
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical)
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification desired
- Expertise in state-of-the-art manufacturing process technology, product development, and continuous improvement methods
