Millwork Recruiting Source, LLC, in partnership with an established and highly reputable residential architectural millwork company, is seeking a talented Senior Estimator to join our client’s team at their Charlottesville, VA office. Our client has been featured in renowned industry magazines such as Architectural Digest, Veranda, and House Beautiful, offering you the chance to work with a truly prestigious company.

As a Senior Estimator, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with engineers and the shop floor, utilizing historical data to refine and hone your estimates. Your work will align with the reality of how we construct architectural millwork projects, and our supportive team will be there to guide you as you grow in your role. A keen spatial sense is essential, as you will apply it to architectural drawings as a critical part of your job.

To excel in this position, excellent oral and written communication skills are non-negotiable. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other common office applications is assumed. While familiarity with our estimating software, ProjectPak, is a plus, we are willing to provide training if you possess a natural ease and comfort with technology. **PLEASE NOTE INNERGY IS BEING IMPLEMENTED IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE SO HAVING EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY DESIRED**


  • Thoroughly review all proposal request documents and prepare accurate estimating schedules and processes.
  • Conduct precise scope take-offs and costing for projects.
  • Develop and execute pricing proposals.
  • Track and update the status of all proposals.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to define project work order scopes and values.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of training programs for department personnel.
  • Review and analyze project data to create accurate material, manufacturing, and installation factors.
  • Support the Sales team in negotiations regarding contract scope.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of architectural millwork.
  • 5+ years of estimating experience
  • **MAJOR PLUS if experienced with Innergy**
  • Engineering, drafting, or production experience will be advantageous.
  • Excellent mathematical and computer skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and other common office applications.
  • Experience with ProjectPak and/or Innergy is a plus.
  • Self-starter with a hands-on approach to work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that foster team building.
  • Exceptional follow-through on initiatives and commitments.
  • A strong desire to grow with the company and be an integral part of a cohesive team.
