As we expand our operations in McPherson, Kansas, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tooling Design Engineer to lead our tooling department and ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our production processes.

Responsibilities:

-Use computer aided programs to design tooling
-Review existing specs to determine areas of improvement
-Identify all necessary materials for tooling
-Share data to support modifications
-Train employees on tooling practices
-Work with vendors to outsource when necessary
-Communicate cross functionally with Supply Chain and Purchasing for materials
-Continually interact with manufacturing, and quality as well as with outside vendors to ensure that the tooling process runs smoothly

Requirements:

-Advanced knowledge of design programs (i.e., CAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
-B.S. in Engineering preferably Mechanical Engineering or related.
-A minimum of two years related experience
